Livestock showing
What is livestock showing?

A livestock show is an event where livestock are exhibited and judged on certain phenotypical breed traits as specified by their respective breed standard. In FFA you can show a variety of different animals including cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, horses, and rabbits. Bixby FFA participates in many different livestock shows through the summer and fall seasons.Students that wish to participate in showing livestock are responsible for purchasing their own animal as well as feed and other necessary items. The show animal can be kept at the home of the student or here at the Bixby FFA barn.
How can I get involved?
Getting involved in livestock showing is a big responsibility. To get involved please contact Mr. Nettles, either in person or through his email listed below. You must be eligible in all your classes to enter a show.
